Autism spectrum disorder is a disability that affects one in 150 children. Parents often find themselves helpless after the announcement because they have little or no knowledge of this disability. They have questions about their child's future, how to help him, or may even feel guilty. It is important to reassure them and explain precisely what this disorder is, so that they can have the keys to understanding their child as well as possible. Our podcast is about an exchange between a psychologist from the Autism Resource Center and a mother whose child has just been diagnosed with ASD. In this context, the psychologist's role is to sensitize and reassure the mother about the recent diagnosis. We think that it is interesting for all students to be aware of this type of care which we may meet in our practice.
